Since I'm new to this forum, I thought I'd post photos of some of my projects. I build more vintage drag stuff, than anything else, so, I'll start in this thread. Rather than try to detail the processes that went into each model, I'll post photos, and if anyone has questions, feel free to ask away! This is my replica of the Cook and Bedwell dragster, built from a junker Monogram Slingshot kit I picked up for a buck, at a swap meet. At the time I built it, I was convinced I had the color right, but now, I'm not so sure that's the case. I'm not completely convinced that it's wrong, either! Decals were created by Jack Smith.

Nice Dan. I like the rear mags in particular, a type of Halibrand I assume.

What is the historical significance of the real car? I'm not very knowledgeable about drag racing, but I think your model really captures the look of 1950s dragsters.
