Thank you Brian, I would need a bigger garage:)
Appreciate the kind words Joel!
Thanks Chris, That is a ceramic soldering pad sold by jewelry supply places. The perforations go all the thru. I epoxy it to a pressed paper builders board called Homasote. The homasote is dense enough to hold the push pins securely.

Last for this update, thanks for looking in! Hi Randy, Beautiful build. I was told to look into your soldering builds and I am taken aback. I am also working on a GT40 as you are, mind you I am working on the 66 Ken Miles MKII. I had a few questions about the materials you use. Mind if I send you a direct mail to discuss further? I could definitely use your assistance and expertise! Thanks, Justin

Hi Folks, Thank you folks for taking the time to post comments ! Finally starting on the motor for the Tipo 61. An inline 4 cylinder , DOHC, aluminum block and heads with twin side draft Webers. Twin sparkplugs, dual coils, dry sump developing 250 h.p. Typical of the period, this little motor had a whole bunch of stuff hanging off it. Fuel pump, oil pump, generator and water pump all gear driven. Lots of photos from the web, one really helpful drawing and some great photos from Joel Finn's book have provided reference.
