Hi, I'm Rick Heinbaugh, from the Seattle, Washington area. Just shy of 60 years old. I started starting Le Mans and Indy car models in the mid-60's, when IMC released the elaborate Ford GTs and Indy Lotus. Then AMT packaged the Heller double kits and I started a few more. I kept interested in the late 60's with Road & Track, Car & Driver, and a few other well-thumbed magazines.
Over the years I have stayed active in modeling, building (and finishing some) ships, soldiers, dragsters, NASCAR models and a few aircraft. But not a single Ford GT done yet.
I have been building up the stash of IMC/Testors/Union, Heller/Union, AMT, Fujimi/Revell, Aurora, Protar, Tamiya, Hasegawa and Accurate Miniatures kits, and by golly, I'm going to finish one soon. The IMC Lola looks like the most likely candidate.
I look forward to keeping the interest level strong with this forum. Thanks for getting everybody together again.
