That has to be the best FW190 I've ever seen! At any scale! Outstanding!

Amazing! The Dora was the best-looking of the 190s.

Not necessarily a fan of model planes, although I have built a couple, but I am a fan of great model building, and that, sir, definitely qualifies! Very nice.

Beautiful job on this my friend ... I think when you first see a photo of a model you can instantly tell if it is indeed 'special' and that is what i experienced with this one.
I instantly knew it was a special build - excellent!

Thanks you guys. Despite all the work that went into this one it had to be the easiest opened up build I've done to date and I've done a few. Surprising to say the least.

Thought I'd revive this one to show some of the newer members. I've now purchased a 1/72 scale version that I will do the same thing with in a different paint scheme.

This is an achingly beautiful build. I absolutely love it. Along with cars another thing I really love is piston driven aircraft. Truly one of the best looking 190 builds I’ve ever seen.

I was a bit surprised when I got first place in San Antonio with it and even more surprised when I found out that it was in the runnings for Best Model of Show in the same event. Ultimately I got beat out by this one fella with a SUPER detailed 1/32 scale F-4 Phantom. What I received after that was a true shocker to me...... Best Axis Aircraft of Show

Well deserved by the looks of the detail and weathering that I can see. I have attempted the weathering on a few planes, it's not as easy as it looks.

Well deserved by the looks of the detail and weathering that I can see. I have attempted the weathering on a few planes, it's not as easy as it looks. Thanks bud. It took me a while to get it all down and I've still got a ton to learn about it Sam. One area on this aircraft that I was pretty happy with is the decal that I applied on the side of the fuselage and the "hastily" applied painting over it by the Germans before it was transferred to another unit. The band stripes on the fuselage were masked off and painted in lieu of decals for them. One thing that I learned in my time away from aircraft models and that I used on my return back to them a couple of years ago was the warble paint work prior to color coats to add depth to the paint job....as shown on my Arado 234 before the color coats were applied: You get an idea of the benefits during the color application process. You've gotta look closely but you can see the tonal variations in the color.........
