That makes sense. I had thought it might be because the Williams cars had a different engine than the other Cosworth runners.Only the Williams cars got the John Judd designed cylinder heads (1980). I have seen pics of these cars with"Ford" on the cam covers but who knows when they were taken, anybody could have swapped them later.

Excellent progress there, Paul. I might try to bring a pin vise and bits to work tomorrow to get something done!
I really like those rear wheels!

Those wheels look fabulous!! Engine is right up there with the wheels. Thank you very much Joe Engine detail is coming along. I need to do some painting of small bits before I can add the velocity stacks. I did a little mock-up for inspiration. 558

Inspiring for sure! I always like to do that just to say "See? It's going to look great..." At least it always does in my imagination. Great to see the progress. I am going to continue on with drilling and fitting the chassis before I start of detailing...
Thanks for the mentorship, BTW...

The injector lines and throttle linkage are very realistic, certainly a step up. Looks great.

Beautiful job, Paul! The engine looks very sweetly tuned up and ready to roar!
By the way, I bought a variable speed electric drill... what a difference it makes! Drilling is much easier!
Keep up the fine work!

Chris, Paul, Joel, Patrick and Joe....thanks for the compliments. Spent a lot of time doing little detail work in order to move forward. First up is the seat belts. Then all of the little details in the front part of the chassis. Finally the uprights and the brakes. 804

Cool. Interesting the pedals were mounted on the floor, almost an old fashioned way to do it.

Great job on those seatbelts and shoulder harnesses. I truly suck at making them in 1/20 or 1/24 scale. The brake assemblies look dead on perfect. My only question is the the front disks look like they're polished Aluminum while the smaller rears seem to have an anodized color to them. Or is that just the lighting fooling my eyes?
