Paul, for a guy that hates decaling, yours as usual came out perfect. Well done my friend.

These are the photo etched rad and coolers, I wasn't thrilled. After some Mig "engine grime" repeatedly brushed on and wiped off I got this, which looks a lot more realistic.
A major battle with the exhaust system, but I got it and the rear suspension to finally co-exist, with the help of many steel pins to replace the broken plastic. I think it worked.

Did you know you have an Earth Worm infestation where the exhaust should go!!! No wonder assembly was challenging! Great job in the end. Chris

OMG, those T4 exhausts are merciless... that was quite the challenge, wasn't it, Paul? As Chris Hale, it looks like an earthworm infestation!
Well done!

Yes gentlemen, they are a tad frustrating. I think it actually helped that the parts were just loose instead of being numbered on the sprue.
And the best part, I get to do it all 4 more times - a 312T, T2, T3, and a 1512 still to go. Oh joy.
Patrick, didn't you do much the same thing? Take an old T4 kit and rebuild it?

Paul, What an epic battle with all those exhaust pipes. But one would never have guessed that judging by how good they turned out.
Hopefully, each time the job of those exhausts will get easier and easier.

Joel, it's been my experience that nothing gets easier with time.
However, with a bit of wiggling, the side pods went on, and it all fits. Surprised the hell out of me! They are not screwed on as per instructions, it's all CA'd.
One weird design for a race car, but I guess it worked.
Test fit of the body, yes it still fits
Now to finish the chassis.

Indeed I did but they were both Tamiya kits and I mainly rebuilt the shell since it had discolored terribly and the Tamiya decals were very thin. I painted the white this time and used a double layer of Michael's IndyCals for the side pods since the shape of the decal and the painting didn't match exactly and the red bled through the thin white. Here's a photo of the old and new... and did you inherit all the old stuff? Or did I sell that to someone else? Old Tamiya decals on left and new IndyCals on right! Someday (after the 156), I'll get around to stripping the high airbox of the T2 where I screwed it up, repaint and redecal it and have it finished. And I am finally ahead enough where I can order some plexiglass cases for my stuff from a company in Dallas! Thanks for remembering!

Patrick, I usually can't remember what I had for lunch.
My T4's didn't come from you, I've had them for a few years - for a while I didn't even know one was a Protar. I got the T3 and T2 from you, I guess the T3 is next on the Ferrari list, I seem to be working chronologically backwards.
I have 3 312T kits, 2 used parts kits and a new one still shrink wrapped, so if you need bits let me know.
I also have a "supposed to be complete" B2 that I know isn't complete. And the 1512 I got from Brian that will be a major project. Yep, Ferrari infestation, what's not to like!

From this point to getting the chassis complete was very straightforward. Ready for wings:

Looking great, Paul
I've been following closely because I have one to do for my Ferrari 312 group.
