pnance26 Evergreen strip stock should make quick work of that issue. Nice job on the nose. Looks 100% now. Joel .That's exact;y where I'm going... ordered a bunch of widths and thicknesses yesterday. Thanks for the nice words.

Looks to me like those two white pieces were just a little too long! Maybe remove them, see if they can be straightened and shorten them a little. It's actually all four pieces top and bottom. I'm just going to make new ones from EVergreen strip... since they are just the whatevers, I can proceed on and won't need to worry about it until the finale! Next thing I am looking for are very small pieces to simulate this... (enlarging done on purpose). These are not molded onto the wingplate such as the front ones, which look great using Molotow by the way... any suggestions?

Can you do an extreme close-up?

Here is a photo of a restored 312B that sold for $1.5 million. The guy who send it to me feels the white tubes are just vents and if I were to show you the top of the center wing support had a piece added that was hollow and directed the air back. He also said the piece at the rear of the wing was most likely some kind of air direction device to cool the gear box. I am going to add these based on the photo.

Appropriate sized nut/bolt/washer castings? Or P/E washer and a slice of styrene hex rod?

Appropriate sized nut/bolt/washer castings? Or P/E washer and a slice of styrene hex rod? The large one in the second photo is molded on but not the back two actually. The forward is just a chrome cap. The back is about half the size of the one for the front wing. Most PE comes in brass. I will look in what I have but do you know of a PE product that small? We are talking maybe 1/16th of an inch. Maybe a little bigger.

I have P/E nuts down to .014", also .020, .031 (half of 1/16), .041 and hex rod in various (mostly larger) sizes. The P/E nuts are in stainless steel, no sprue so are very easy to work with. Let me know if you'd like a few and what sizes. Maybe a 1/25 P/E hood pin scuff plate for the large washer?

The smaller, I think I can do with just a dot of Molotow liquid chrome. The middle sized- I'll check the size and let you know! Thanks for the generous offer. Now I need to find some white/clear tube... and a couple of small washers to cover those holes as well (the ones where the tube goes into the body right behind the roll bar on the other photos.

I have updated decals from Michael at IndyCals. The old decals were shot... and I mean shot. Tamiya is not very generous nor are they very good at keeping just items in stock. Thanks for the suggestions!

Contact ( Call ) Tamiya USA and ask about buying just the Photo Etch set for that kit ( Ferrari 312B ) , Yes they will sell them to you. I have bought a couple direct from them in the past like the 1/12 Wolf WR-1 set. I just told them I got the kit before they offered it with the Photo etch and no problem they were happy to sell and ship it to me.. Chris

Wonder what’s on the PE sheets? I’m almost done. Maybe I’ll see if I can get the PE for the T!

The issue could be that they just don't have any available as it's not a currently produced kit. But you have nothing to loose and everything to gain by just asking.

Because they open kits for Customer service situations they tend to have most Photo Etch and Individual trees available. Why not sell them? I was quite surprised when I checked it out. There are several Vendors on Ebay that break Down kits, just like a real car being worth more in pieces, those vendors now tend to be a bit steep but I did get xtra trees for a couple of my 1/12 Tamiya kits, and have xtra engine trees for them. Spot Models sells trees in their 'Spare Parts" section.. Chris
