Glad I could help! That’s a beautiful car! Ben Ya it's kinda growing on me Ben I must say .. because at first I had to decide between doing my 3rd Resin Nascar in a row because I received the Camaro ZL1 body from Mike last week - or doing the Eagle, and it's kinda cool how once you start really examining the reference photos on the car you have in mind the desire to build that particular one just grows and grows. I also managed to pick up some KOOL Green decals for the Reynard that ran them that year but on the Eagle body it would have been a 'what if' model and I'd much rather try and recreate this Eagle as best I can to spec that year.
Here is the resin body and I picked up a Revell donor kit for the other parts - but I will also scratch build a bunch of stuff no doubt

Adrian, I'm already looking forward to your build. As I'm a huge Gurney fan, and with your skills, I'm quite sure that I'm going to learn a lot about resin kits, and super detailing. As far as decals, Michael from Indy Cal makes these: Joel

I’m looking forward to seeing what you can do with this! Ben Thanks Ben, I am looking forward to the challenge of this little guy because right off the bat I am going to have to do a lot of dremeling as the 'foot bay' of the cockpit is completely filled in with resin - as are the side intakes. Thankfully I have my Dremel up and running!
I was thin king the build through 'step by step' in my mind last night before going to bed ... it's going to be interesting haha!

As I told Ben this is going to an interesting one for sure - not least because of the amount of dremeling I'm going to need to do before I even get truly started. Having said that it certainly is a wonderfully solid piece of resin with more weight to it than most I've seen.
Finishing the 'Cockpit' off after the body has been completely finished will be the biggest challenge for me on this one I think.
I picked up the exact decal set you show from Indycals a few months back - they look pretty good - they are certainly not Museum Quailty or Powerslide level, but I think I can manipulate them.
Wish me luck my good friend!

Adrian, Gotta say that I've had excellent results with Indy Cal decals. Every build with the exception of the Beemax 1/24 scale Porsche 935 K2 has been with Indy Cal decals. I'm just not a fan of having to trim every single decal, but such is life. What I really like about Indy Cals is now that Michael has made decals for literally every Indy 500 winner and most of the more important cars, he's gone into F1 some, but heavy on all closed wheel cars from the major series here and abroad. What's more, his OOPS plan has saved me several times from having to buy another decal sheet.
Exactly what issues to you find that his decals lag behind Powerslide or other AM decal makers?

Joel Joel I have actually never used Indycals decals before, this will be the first time so if what you say is correct and you don't have to trim them that would be fantastic! But I will let you know how they go once I reach that stage. I just love Powerslide because they are just on another level - if you get the chance to pick up a sheet some time you won't regret it - I've probably purchased about 15 sheets now from Mike ... but then again I'm a decal whore

Adrian, Indycals prints on a continuous clear decal film, so you do have to trim around each one. I don’t know what printing process Michael uses, but treat them like you would ALPS-printed decals. The ink doesn’t seem to be very susceptible to setting solutions, but I haven’t managed to damage them with Solvaset (yet!).
Are Slixx and Powerslide silkscreen printed? I’ve heard of both but have never used them.

Ben Thanks Ben for the information, I wasn't sure if it indeed was continuous or not - and it's great to know about the Solvaset because it's all I use to be honest. I've tried every setting solution available to us here and I've settled on Solvaset.
