It's always something, isn't it, Adrian? LOL!
Looking forward to seeing the fabrications! Post lots of photos, please.
I just saw the photos (my work computer won't display them)... too bad about that red and white Milwaukee paint job being traded for another Pennzoil yellow car! I like the red and white! But then again, it's not my build!
Like I said, looking forward to following this!

Yes Danny's paint scheme was really nice for sure, but the Pennzoil Indy cars from 85' to 95' were some of my favourite race cars of all time - just something so cool about them, and as a small boy there was a shop in Toronto called Mini Grid that my father used to take me to and they had these 1/43rd Indy cars from the 80's and 90's and the pennzoil one always caught my eye and I just loved them lol - so I promised myself one day I would build one.
I'm really looking forward to this because I'm going to do the suspension arms in Extreeme Metal Chrome as they are on the actual car as well as lots of metal scratch built parts and some weathering as well.
Stay Tuned!

Adrian, This is beyond crazy, your build is simply insane. And I mean that in the most complimentary manner possible. Your skill set is from another world. Finding the Dremel Cutters that are the exact size and match for the wheels, and how you saw that the scale fueling cap can be made out the guide wheel from a router bit is just plain nuts. What are the odds of coming up with these substitute parts that work perfectly. I don't know, but if you're not playing Lotto, you really need to start. You'd be a multi millionaire in no time.
I'm loving this build as Team Penske is my long time, all time favorite Indy Car team since I met Mr. Penske and Mr. Donahue at the Bridgehampton 1967 USRRC race. BTW, Danny Sullivan is still one of my all time favorite Team Penske drivers, so you better do his ride proud.

Thank you so much Joel for stopping by and for those kind words, I always love hearing from you on a build of mine.
Paul was crazy that's for sure and always so much fun to watch behind the wheel of a race car. I always felt bad for Patrick because he lived in his shadow really at Forsythe.
Growing up for me as a boy watching Indy it was definitely Danny Sullivan and Rick Mears all the way ... my Hero's of Indy days.

I loved Rick on the Ovals but I thought that he wasn't the same top flight driver on road courses. Sullivan and Tracy were at the top of their games on both. Joel
