JC, Love how you duplicated the coil spring over the shock. Makes a huge difference. So much so that I'm going to give it a go on my 911 GT1 build.
As for the hood, a really simple yet super effective method to reshape it. Seems that I'm always learning new things by following your builds.

Happy to share some of my techniques Joel and glad you find them helpful. I have learned a lot from fellow modelers over the years and its nice to give back a little. The kit body has no rain gutter to speak of. If you look closely at the 1:1 you can see they are present. Using .020" rod I created my own. After glue had setup I lightly sanded them to reduce their projection and give them a more square profile.

Added 28 ga. wire mounting pins to the auxiliary lights and drilled corresponding holes in the hood again like the 1:1. This allows me to display the car with or without the auxiliary lights. Also made protective covers for when the lights aren't in use.

JC, those rain gutters as so effective, and yet so simple to construct and finish.

Building up the detail slowly Joel. Added more bolt detail using my UMM-USA punch.

Those rain-gutters. Like a drop of water in a glass of Bowmore. Masterful.

JC, Looking good for sure. As for the bolt details, I've got the same punch set from UMM-USA. Maybe I better start using it more often for other things then I currently do.

Its a great tool Joel, glad I bought it. Wasn't really intending to build the long-tail fully but while I have the details worked out thought I would try to bring it along as well. I edited the thread title to just Lancia Beta Montecarlo.

Like usual, Very very neat WIP. You've the ability to make a basic enough kit come to life. 👍 Is it WIP or OCD😁.

Boreham, Interesting question, but from my time on the list, JC strives to create the most accurate replica he can. He has the skills, and the knowledge to do this with everyone of his builds that he's posted here.
I don't think that one can call this OCD, as we've had a few members in the past who literally would push themselves and their builds to the Nth degree as every single thing had to be literally a miniature replica, or they'd just go on and on about it. The end result is that those few members just never were truly satisfied with their builds, and looked towards all of us for approval.
Having JC here along with a small core of truly outstanding world class modelers is a huge plus for all of us average at best modelers in so many ways.

Boreham and I became friends when I was working on my Escort RS1800 build. He provided a lot of great information to me for the build. He's a good man and a great builder, just giving me a bit of a hard time.

Stance of the long-tail: If I could get my hands on another short-tail front clip I could build another variation:

JC, The stance looks like it should to a neophyte on the subject at hand. the short nose front clip really looks great.
