Maybe I can slip a chassis under it and call it done.

Looks a mess with paper decals scotch taped to the body but this gives you an idea. I want this to be the cover photo for the next issue of 'FineScale Modeler.'

The article will be about how you painted it with straight Humbrol off a 2" sash brush. After decaling.
The Pulitzer's as good as yours.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I did my own decals (~2009) Never again since...

Sure would open up a lot of possibilities if you could make your own custom decals - I don't have those skills.

956s and Corvettes in Aeroflot livery. The mind reels. The shape of this thing, though. All planes and angles, with a few deliberate bumps, the whole of it smoothed like a bar of Ivory soap after one hot shower. There's just nothing it needs, to the eye.

JC, I headed on over to the 3Amigos site and checked out their pre-printed decals which are priced very reasonably, then the tab for custom work. They also are priced very reasonably at $25-40, but do require that one submits their own graphics work, so that leds me out as I can't even draw as straight line with the aid of a ruler these days.

Joel, email Sam and discuss your project. www.3amigosdecals.netI found the various logos through internet searches and Sam did the rest.

The Jolly Club 1980 Daytona 24 entry did have a full cage so I fabricated the front half.

That roll cage looks great! That’s the next skill I need to learn.
