Thank you Joel. Roll cage fabrication Ben requires mostly practice and technique - some skill. I follow what I have studied as 1:1 roll cage fabrication sequence: - Main roll hoop
- rear facing kickers/braces
- forward bars along the top of the doors/A pillars
- door brace bars
- header above the windshield
- finally any diagonal or auxiliary bars.
Getting the position of the roll hoop right and locked in provides the foundation of the cage being that nearly ever other bar attaches to it. Give it a shot.

- Fabricated what I believe is a battery box
- Added a fire bottle switch, it will be plumbed to the two chamber bottle included in the kit
- Resin ignition module

JC, Slowly but surely each extra detail just adds a little more depth to the cockpit and that much more interest for us viewers.

JC, Now she's really starting to come together for sure. The Turbo is very nicely detailed painted as is those coil over shocks.

That is coming along quite nicely, your attention to detail and corrections is great I have been enjoying watching this W.I.P. Keep it coming. On the Pop Off valve what did you do to it so it looks like you turned one on a lathe? Looks amazing. Chris

Joel, the springs on the coil overs are plastic coated wire wrapped around the shock body. Chris, started using Tamiya Panel Line Accent as a wash. Really brings out the detail. I only have black at the moment but want to acquire more shades.

The best part of this site, other than making new friends, is what I have been able to learn from all you guys.
JC, that Lancia is going to be beautiful, can't wait to see the finished car!
cheers Paul

Thank you Joel. Exhaust and rear suspension installed. That wee spring between the lug on the tube-frame and the lug on the tailpipe: Is that a kit part, or do you hold a Swiss watchmaker captive in your cellar to turn that stuff out for you?

JC, I've been using Tamiya Panel Line wash for both panel lines and to do any washes I might need. The only color I tried and didn't like was the white. The Gray is used just to lighten up the Black when needed.

I never knew the Lancia had struts for a rear suspension. Different for a high performance car like that.

No watch maker just me. Wrapped 32 ga. wire around a drill bit to make the spring. Fabricated the two brackets from .020" flat stock.
