I think it looks pretty sharp with that simple scheme. Nice save!

Thanks guys for the constant support, it really helps. As JC said I'm in basically the same camp that he's in: a minimalist. While I do like various body colors and schemes, today's GT cars have gone overboard with these wraps that don't even have anything remotely connecting it to their major sponsor. So many of these cars are just to radical for this old guy. I guess that we have Colin Chapman to blame for all of this.

Where did you get the tack cloth? I am having one hell of a time finding one!

Patrick, I've tried the ones from Home Depot and they're terrible. Not meant for our modeling needs. I've been buying my tack cloths from Gravity of Spain, and they do work great. But with a shift to ScaleFinishes, I'm going to have to find a new supplier of high quality tack cloths as ordering them from Spain is super expensive.

I like Mustangs. I like white cars. I hate overdone rolling billboards (think NASCAR).
Your Mustang is going to look much better this way.

Paul, Thanks for your thumbs up and comments. Speaking of Nascar billboards, I'm pretty sure that I'm going with a Salvino jr Nascar kit with added details. I'm still deciding exactly which of the two GM body cars I'm going with, but the cars of the early 1980s weren't nearly rolling billboards as todays cars are. And that's my feelings for about every racing series.
I still say that it was Colin Chapman's fault.

Been spending all my time and efforts on finishing the bottom of the chassis which contains the lower engine/transmission plus the exhaust headers, the front suspension, drive shaft, rear gear housing oil coolers that I just ran some of the oil lines from one to the other, then to the rear end, and the return line re-appears and goes to the other cooler. Complete rear suspension, and finally the exhaust pipes. Most of the parts were painted as per the Tamiya instructions with main exceptions being all 4 brake calibers as I have a few pictures of them being painted Red, so I went that route just to add a little much needed color. The exhaust pipes were painted gloss Black then Alcad 2 Duralumin because it has a very coldish Blue hue to it like heated exhaust pipes once they cool down. The over all effect does catch one's eye, so I'm more then pleased with the look of them. I know it doesn't sound like much work, but the front and rear suspension assemblies are quite complex, and took this old timer quite some time to complete. joel

JC, Thanks for checking out the Mustang GT4 update, it's always greatly appreciated. One issue is that once the front and rear aero plates are glued on, you won't see nearly any of that detail. I've gotta learn how to work with mini magnets so that I can remove panels for show or just to look at my work every so often.

Nice underside! Do you know if that transmission represents a specific racing unit? It looks different.
Thanks, Ismael

The GT4 has a sequential paddle-shift transmission, so maybe that accounts for the shape?
