Chris, where did you find the ALFA engine instructions from MFH?
I have an ALFA kit I'm waiting delivery on from Poland, I could use some detail up ideas I'm sure.
BTW the kit is by "Mistercraft", I'll let you know "what" it is whenever I get it. (I also ordered a Talbot Lago, they were dirt cheap).

Its the Heller/Merit/Mastercraft 1949 Alfa Romeo kit, Yup I paid $8.95 for it from Poland too. I used my research to detail the engine, I was going to order the Indycals 3D engine for $19.99, $30. with shipping, but I decided to turn some heads look at the same engine with 4 BIG Webers! a bunch more detail coming for this as I already scratchbuilt a distributor, will add fuel lines and a whole brake system...I am going to post the photo files to my fotki by the end of the build and will post a link them too. The kit Blower set up is way wrong and I could have made a new one (two actually) but I went this way. Michaels engine will save you a lot of work and correct the situation so look into it. I did get the Talbot Lago Indycals engine and Grille and a Poland kit but that will come in time. i also have Deeks wires for that one. I hadnt built a Hot Rod for years, probably since my 48 Anglia was featured in Car Craft magazine! Enjoy this car I am! Chris

I added a Intake with 4 Huge Weber carbs, Kind of liking the blower delete and the Webers, each cab got .032 stainless venturi's. I continued on engine detail with more nuts, bolts assorted aluminum bits. I also made a distributor to drive off the left Cam and will be adding a fuel pump ( scratchbuilt ). For the Ignition wires (spark plug cables) I am going to make a aluminum log to shield them and it will go the entire length on the heads. In other words much, much, more detail work on the engine. I am also working on a drive shaft. The 4 wheel Disc brake system is being assembled. It is a full Photo etch and White metal set up...The exhausts are done I am going to inset the pipe into the right side of the body instead of bending the pipe.. I started on the body by filling the door lines, well started, and removing the trim which will be replaced in a more accurate manor..more to come Chris Ps gotta do something while its 120 degrees out each day here..

That ALFA engine is looking great!
I got the two kits from Poland, that guy is great to deal with (bought a GT40 from him a while ago). How come it's cheaper to ship from Poland to me than it is from me to you? Or you to me? Go figure. I've also ordered all the goodies from Indycals. Ever notice that what you pay for the kit really doesn't matter, it ends up being the cheap part by the time you're finished.
PS: you can keep your 120 degrees, it's 85 here, the humidity is 1000% and I'm melting. I want my winter back!!

Man Would I!! My Dad had a little 26 Roadster in our garage, dropped down , original Model T Black, Ford reversed black steel wheels and a Triumph TR-6 engine with Webers for Motivation. It wasnt a Rocket but it got along quite well.. He was always building some neat stuff.. I liked the Chevy Greenbriar Pick up ( Ramp Side ) with the Indy Car Turbo the boys at AAR installed.. what a fun ride. Except , if you have ever ridden in a Chevy Greenbriar or Corvair Van , there is nothing in front of You! No length to the hood , maybe 12 inches, just the front of the truck and my Dad being a late Braker use to scare the Hell out of me! Chris

Ma de a Radiator! But where does it go?? Check it out, I have seen a few like this, Keeps the front end clean and all business. I didnt want a grille or other front attachments.. I will need to adjust the hose bucks to a smaller size but I like it.. Aluminum radiator shell with washed core or all semi-gloss ? What do you think?

Chris, The Radiator looks great. For that matter so does all those fuel lines into those side draft Webbers.

Thanks for the reference, I was going to do the supercharged 158/159 engine but with so few really good pics, up until now, I went with the Weber carbs, figuring, "Hey its not a Replica" and thus artistic choice rules here. Interesting they varied the fuel system that much but kept the basic engine and accessories the same on the 158/159 engines.. Thanks Again Chris..
