Now there is a way on their website to order. It wasn't there before. I hope this doesn't result in two orders since I sent only an email desiring the kit prior to this. This time I placed an order. Hope it works!

Paul! That is great! And by taking your advice of ordering direct from MFH, the total came to less than $550 whereas it was $600+ from a guy in Italy. Thank you once again for the good advice! And good luck with this one!
I am pretty stoked that the base color is white and the rest will be decals. Right?

Haven't had a chance to catch up because of honey dos piling up with working 8 out of 9 but I did receive the kit last Friday. My wife didn't pay any attention to the Japanese of the kit when it got here on Thursday so I said "what's this?" Opened it up on Friday and voila! There it was!
Took the instructions to the printer to blow them up on Saturday and spent yesterday cleaning up the work space and putting away the parts for the 156. I also spent some time running the first step engine parts through the tumbler. At the same time, I spent some time cleaning up the inside of the rear of the 156 silver by filing and sanding. Needs more work but I have plenty of time.!
So I will post photos as they come available. Super quick service from all at MFH. Got a sweet handwritten note and origami bird from Kyoko Hiro!
Good times!

The origami means "Finish the 156 before staring this one"

The origami means "Finish the 156 before staring this one" Which would be doable if it weren't cold enough here to snow, so conditions not conducive to doing much on the 156 but sanding!

This is what came in my kit... And so it begins... And they have this wonderful detail of the intakes into the cylinder that are completely hidden... And the front view... I decided to screw the two together but that may be just temporary... Thanks for looking. As always, your comments and criticism are always welcome!

I did about 4.5 hours yesterday on the engine and got about half a step done. So much fitting to do to make sure it all gets in the correct place. Nothing worth photographing as it is basically the same as Paul's progress. He is the zen master of MFH though... I have to take a couple of photos of the tub with the basic assembly done because there are some MAJOR gap issues. It will be three day weekend next weekend... unless the snow keeps me home and then it will sooner! I'll try to show you all the gaps! And the engine.
Oh yeah, super glue ain't so super when the room temperature is below about 55 degrees.

No photos as it was mostly just fit and drill since the temps were still chilly enough that superglue took a LONG TIME to adhere. I did get the valve covers drilled out but not the PE done. And the rubber grommets for the spark plugs are in place. Slowly but surely, the weather will turn and I will be painting and gluing and photographing progress. I did not do any sanding on the 156 body. But we will get there. I know Paul is making great strides in his build. He will, in all likelihood cross the finish line well ahead of me!
One thing I have learned from the first kit to the second is to SLOW DOWN and fit everything twice!

So, I did manage over the course of the last two or three weeks to get something done... but it is amazzzzing to me how four hours flies by and it seems like little has been accomplished. What you see is about 18 hours of work. I spend two more doing fuel lines on one side (well three of them anyway) before I realized that I needed to walk away instead of hurrying. Plus cooler temperatures (even with a space heater) are not conducive to CA or even epoxy curing in a timely manner. So here is where I am so far with the engine block... I have already been "color corrected" by someone on a FB site about the plug wires and quite frankly, I don't care that they are yellow. I think it adds a bit of contrast to the whole thing. And I had it on the desktop whereas I didn't have anything else (I would have used red if I had it! So there! It's my model...) Now to a problem. How many MFH kits have this kind of gap issue with the side walls and the floor on the tub with gaps? I've epoxied them from the outside but man that is an huge gap. I wouldn't even begin to hazard a guess as how to shave it down so it fits. Any help from anyone? As always, your comments and criticisms are always welcome.
