Another great looking engine! What size tubing did you use on the carbs? Its .14mm wire actually Rob and it's too small. It should be larger than he spark plug wires. Unfortunately the fuel log and the fuel fitting on the Webers could not accept anything larger.

The 6mm OD plug wires of the early-mid 60s should be flat or semi-gloss black and in 1/25 scale should be .0094" diameter. The 3/8" rubber fuel hose with a 5/8" OD to each carb should scale out to .025" OD. If the hoses are 5/16", the OD would be about 1/2-9/16", which would scale out to .020-.023". So JC is right that the fuel lines should be bigger than the ignition cables. .014" that he used scales out to .35", or between 5/16" and 3/8". "137 rivets, 138 rivets, ..." I'm loving all these Cobras JC.

Thank you. With the completion of the Dragonsnake I am back working on the '66 Sebring 427.

What about the trunk lid? The FIA car had "dimples" to clear the FIA suitcase, but I've never seen a photo clear enough to use as reference. --Frank

The cars didn't have the dimples until they went to your Europe and even then not all of them had suitcase bumps. I have settled on building CSX2323 which will require me to fabricate the bumps - stay tuned.

Always love your work, JC! Looking good. I'm curious, where did you get the gauge decals?

Thanks Art. Some of the gauges are Keith Marks. The tach came from my parts box. Best Model Car Parts make a nice Cobra set but I used up my last set on my 427 Cobra build.

Applied a final coat of white primer in hopes that it will lighten the final shade of Viking Blue I will be applying next.

Nice! What really makes those Webers pop are the auxiliary venturis in the throats. Did you add them, or did they come with the HRM kit? I'm really enjoying this build! --Frank

I guess if I had gone back over the early part of this build before I posted, I would have seen that when you built up the carbs, the venturis were separate. Still, they look great-perfectly centered and all. The question remains: were they part of the HRM kit? --Please, build on...
