Hi all, I am starting this build with the Whistler Mustang. It's going to be almost box stock but I do want to have the back bodywork separate and add some wiring etc. Also I will not be using the decals, this car and driver are very special to me. Guesses are welcome and encouraged before I put the decals on. I have been collecting them from Cady Indy car, nascar and some will be copier made. I can't build in the summer, too hot, lot of overtime at work, weddings etc. but I started on this, here's what I have so far.

This is my first mistake! I cut at the rear window leaving the side windows. This is incorrect, I have seen photos of the correct line, but after I took the razor saw to mine. I had to glue it back together..doh...

Interesting. I've heard horror stories about this kit. I'll be curious to see what your experience is like. The paint on the front clip looks good.

Thanks Chris, Do you know who's car this is? (my little Guessing game) I was around this car a lot but I don't have any pics of it. We had to transport the hood and other parts to a staging area before the start of the race, (Motor city 100, Detroit) Few pics on the internet, I would love to see what you have. I should have a update this weekend,

Thanks , I have more pics but I think I put them away with my Roush Mustang Project that I woeked on for about 18 months and burned out on, I do plan on picking it back up at some point. The attached link is pics of that project, in the pic #4 there is a replica of that 3 cylinder Fuel filter that I soldered up ...it was crazy making it but it is true to the pics I posted.. public.fotki.com/pmodwrks/model-cars/imsa-mustang-project/ Enjoy these there is so much hard work in this project, seeing it in person is a whole new deal, I did show it at some club meetings and blew some minds... Thanks Chris, for the pics. I am recovering from a nasty computer bug. Couldn't get on for a few days. Should be alright now. These pics. are fantastic and very useful. You still don't have the driver, car tho. It was from the Tom Gloy Racing stable, not Roush. He was only in 8 Trans-Am races in 1992, And I think the highest finish was 8th place. More build pics to come.....

I show the Tom Gloy racing version ( actually built by Riley & Scott) was run at Daytona on 1-31-1993 driven by Ron Fellows but those are all IMSA versions I dont know about Trans Am.. the Tom Gloy version was not in Whistler colors but a plain red with Hero Sports sponsorship.
