I had no idea that HO slot cars was such a major collecting item. JC, How do you display those 500+ cars? Joel Joel, I store them on a book shelf in my den in Hot Wheel cases like these.

JC, Same kind of boxes that I used for my crankbaits when I was into freshwater fishing. Will have to Google HO slot cars and AFX and see exactly what it's current state is. Joel

Mr. Ickx had to pit for a bit, that is a 2037 F-1 Concept, probably by someone who has no clue, but I thought it added a bit of color for now... Chris

Chris, Whomever they paid to come up with the concept car should be shot as well as the designer. How about a tribute to Dan Gurney and go with anyone of his winning AAR Eagles like the 1967 SPA F1 car?

Just caught up on the slot cars. Makes me want to set mine up. I was thinking about selling my HO collection, and sticking with my 1/32...but not sure now. I had a large 1/24 collection but after having no track in the area for a number of years, I did let that go. Too many hobbies. 😄

The picture is of Dan Gurney winning the 1967 Rex Mays race at Riverside; one of his more famous victories. The starting field included Jim Clark, John Surtees, A.J. Foyt, the Unser brothers, Mario Andretti, George Follmer, Roger McCluskey, and Lloyd Ruby.
