I’ve been away from the board for a little bit, but it’s good to see that this one is coming along nicely!

Ismael, Yeah, you can stop polishing now. Once you reach perfect, there's just no sense to continue. For a guy that hates decaling, I'd say you're finish is right up there with the best I've seen both online at IPMS contests.

Hello, Both body halves were glued together. Added all glass: windshield, rear and both sides. Headlights are done. The body is ready to be mated to the chassis before continuing with the million little things still pending. However, I tried to mate body and chassis just like I did a gazillion times before, and it doesn't fit!!!! ARGH!!!! The body is not setting down where it belongs. I fought it for about an hour but decided to put it down and walk away for the day. I'll look at it again tomorrow. Stupid model Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, The matted shell looks tremendous. Excellent job. I've had the same test fitting issue that just seems to pop right up. If it's not from some little piece I glued on and forgot about, it's almost always a combination of all the paint both on the side of the chassis and the inside of the shell

That body is a work of art....
No worries, you will get the fit sorted.

Hello, This bastard is putting up a fight. I have systematically disassembled radiators, part of the rear suspension, air scoops, rear wheels, sanded down the roll cage top and still not fully complying. You want a piece of me? Bring it on! You are going down dude! I should have known not to deal with Fords Translation: Still working on it... Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, Do you recall at what stage of the build you were at when it last fitted? And how off is the shell from actually seating down into place? Joel

Hello, [Violin music please] OK, so here's the deal and it ain't pretty. Both the body and the chassis seem to have developed some convoluted warps. Each on its own could have probably been manageable, but both together are pretty much "unrecoverable". So this has become an exercise in salvaging whatever I can. I thought about displaying both separately but, #1; it is not realistic and #2; a piece of plastic is not going to beat me, even less if it has a Ford badge on it So, I'll add some strategic painted strips of styrene to hide the gaps and will attempt to rework the wheel's ride height to disguise the warp. Don't get me wrong: It will be finished. I'll do my best to hide the issue but it will never be great build I was shooting for. [Stop the music] Not really that big of a deal but a bit of a letdown. The end result should still be acceptable. Thanks, Ismael

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Sometimes, you get a model that fights you all the way to the end.

Ismael, that's unreal for sure. Any idea of what or how that caused the two warps? I'm really impressed with your attitude to cross the finish line no matter. Most of us, Ok me, would have sent it to the recycle center and be done with it. I'm sure that you'll still make it into a more then just an average build.

Well, anything with that gorgeous body is going to look awesome on the shelf.
