Ismael....ya know the end result will be acceptable as you're a builder my friend. Builders are just that...and they don't stop building because a problem has popped up. We fix it and move on. This is a very cool build and keep on keep'in on. I'm looking forward to seeing this "FORD" on all fours.
Ya know...I think I got cheated....I didn't get to hear the FIDDLE music...did it have a New Orleans Cajun kick to it? Man...Etoufee...File Gumbo....AAAAHHHHEEEE...Dat be sooooo goood..LOL

Hello, This is the only board/forum where I'm posting this. All others will not know the whole story. Pictures are not the greatest but bear with me. So..... After I forced the nose and the rear to fit, the sides were left with these gaps between chassis and body. First, I added a strip of BMF on top of the exhaust plate to meet the body, then tried to keep the gap as uniform as possible. There is a strip of black painted styrene behind the body to prevent any light showing thru. Then after some trial and error I was able to make a paper template of the gap And used it to cut this piece of styrene Added some support in the back Still needs some tweaking but you get the idea. Painted the same flat black as the chassis I'll let it dry overnight and will glue in place hopefully tomorrow. Then it is on to the other side. The idea is that if I don't mention it, it may go un-noticed. I'll keep you posted on the progress. Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, What a fantastic fix. I'm way more then duly impressed. And at my age it takes a lot to impress me my friend.
I've been following not one, but two builds on You Tube of guys building this kit. One is French, and one is Japanese. So I really don't have much of an idea of what they're each saying. Ok, I have literally no idea of what each is saying. But both at the beginning of their builds dry fitted the body, interior, & chassis, and both had those major fit issues. The Shell simply doesn't fit. Neither build has progressed past the painting stage, so I have no idea of how either one will address these issues. The French guy has even started another build Vlog.

Hello, [Blowing traffic cop whistle] Alright folks! Keep moving! Nothing happened here, nothing to see here... We can now return to our regular scheduled build, already in progress. I think the "fix" turned out good. I may tweak with it a bit but nothing major. Thanks, Ismael

Hello folks!
Thanks for the enthusiastic responses. I really appreciate! After this little detour, I'm now back continuing to finish this build. There are still a million little things to do. The rear wing is been redone as I did not like how it came out. Still pending a bunch of decals, wing, winglets, brackets, antennas, mirrors, transponders, tail lights, etc. etc. I just realized a glaring omission: This car had a little light bar (red for this car) mounted on the windshield from the inside. I was going to add it as it is not included, but with all this fit issues, I fixed the body to the chassis and forgot about it. The windshield can no longer be popped out completely because it goes from the inside out at the bottom. So I'll figure out something. Stay Tuned!
Thanks, Ismael

Hello, Transponder and 3 antennas. Different thickness and sizes as per references. Entering the home stretch! Still pending mirrors, installing the antennas and a double check before the final step of weathering. Thanks, Ismael
