Chris, I'm going to check out those DVDs myself. Just have to get a working DVD player for my computer as the one that came with my current one doesn't work so great.
JC, I'd love to see that article as well.

Good News, I sent a email to the group GPMA where that disc came from originally and should have info later today. It can be played on a regular DVD player or TV system too, Nice big pics and reading!!! Chris I just realized I cant find my copy but the magazines and index are always next to my desk!

Wish every manufacturer did a modification spec sheet on kits when they are released!

Chris, Thanks for pointing out my error.
JC, And thank you for taking the time to post the article. It's going to be a real help when I build my kit. Just hope it comes close to Paul's as his builds are always outstanding.

A big thanks to everybody, I think my original question has been thoroughly answered, and then some. It seems to me that the kit fairly closely resembles the later car, but with the original car's paint scheme. So Joel's build with the 7/11 decals should be reasonably authentic. As I'd sooner set fire to a car than have anything to do with 7/11 on it, mine was going to be the original Ford paint scheme. And I'm not that thrilled with the project to do all the mods suggested to make it authentic, although I agree it would be worth the effort. It's probably going to be an OOB build and if anybody notices the discrepancies, so be it.
Thanks again guys.

Didn't intend to send you off on a tangent chasing a bunch of scratch building and modifications Paul. The kits looks great OOB

Paul, My middle name is OOB for a reason, 99% of my builds are just that with a little detailing of mostly engine wiring. Nothing wrong with building OOB if that's the goal of your build whether it be as a change of pace fun build, or strictly a presentation display model. Just do your best and enjoy the build.
As long as it looks like a Ford Mustang GTP car, and it meets your criteria for the build, then go for it.

I agree, it's nice to do an oob build now and then. It's pretty easy to find something wrong or something you want to change on almost every kit. I'm working on a Revell Ford GT and just changing the markings. Maybe I can get it finished !
