As far as the braided lines go, check out page 129 in the Tom Cotter/Al Pearce book "Holman-Moody - The Legendary Race Team", a fine period COLOR picture of the rear of a MkII showing braided lines everywhere! The trans has quite a few alone!

Color shot of Car 5 from Lemans 66. Note the anodized fittings on the gearbox www.supercars.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/1966_Ford_GT40MarkII-9-10241.jpgI have this picture in color. I can't share it because it is copyrighted by the Henry Ford. I know I have seen it on line, but can't find it right now. Answers many questions you have. www.supercars.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/1966_Ford_GT40MarkII-16-10241-700x394.jpgIt's one of several taken by David Freeman, the official Team Shelby Photographer. Lots of close ups of the business end where you can see the details you are looking for. While a restoration, it's one of two that were done to the exact specifications by Hollman Moody as how the car looked and fitted for the 1966 Lemans. All the correct fittings, hoses, and belts. assets.hemmings.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/1966-Ford-GT40_33.jpgBoth this car and #2 going thru the restoration can be found online and in books. Car #1 is still owned by the Original Venice Crew and original to the 1966 build. Again, you can find plenty of pictures and videos. Here is a nice article on Car#4 now at IMS with lots of pictures you will find useful www.motortrend.com/news/12q4-1966-ford-gt-mark-ii/You need to search Getty Images. There are a number of color photos from 1966 Daytona, Sebring, and LeMans that should end any debate of what hardware was used, where, and color. Feel free to PM me anytime with questions. I have 100's of Mk II pictures gleaned from The Henry Ford, several racing archives, private collections, and from hours scouring message boards and internet sites on top of the many books and magazine articles. Many I cannot share openly because of copyright issues. I can heavily crop them though. What I can't answer, I usually know who to ask. One of the many benefits of being a researcher are my contacts.
