Paul, I'm just amazed at the details on the engine, and how your idea with the shrink tubing solved the fuel line issues. I can still remember the nightmare I have with them every time I build a Ford Cosworth in 1/20 or 1/24 scale. What a nightmare. So much so that I've thought about finding a translucent thread to use rather then tubing.

Thanks Art Paul, I'm just amazed at the details on the engine, and how your idea with the shrink tubing solved the fuel line issues. So much so that I've thought about finding a translucent thread to use rather then tubing. Joel Thanks Joel. I've tried a lot of stuff to replicate fuel lines and spark plug leads. But thread has never appealed to me because it isn't stiff enough. Other than a couple of small details, the engine is done. 2067

Paul,
Great work on the engine. It looks like the real thing. I don't know how you could beat these kits for detail.

Paul, Your pictures show up just fine. And the Ford Cosworth looks like you took the original 1:1 engine and shrunk it to 1:12 scale.
As for the thread idea, I've never used it yet. But in 1/24-1/20 scale I've had a lot of issues getting the thinnest clear hose or fly fishing leader to go where I want it to. So I thought that there must be a semi clear type filament thread or line in the craft beading section that would work. Gonna check it out when I'm there next. These places are gold mines for all sorts of stuff we can use for detailing.

Hi, Superb! We need more!!! Awesome kit I myself have at home. Can’t wait to see more! Pascal Thanks for the compliment, Pascal. I need to get back to this one. As you've probably seen, I tend to have too many kits started. Do you have the 1/12th version?
