Excellent job on this kit Joel I'm still amazed how spots and small issues I can't see or just miss, pop right up in these nearly one to one pictures. Joel I can't tell you how many times I've taken a picture for my WIP story, posted it and then had a Homer Simpson "DOH" moment when I saw a big mistake. It's like some stuff only shows up on a computer screen.

Nice to know that I'm not the only one who finds errors by looking at my own online pictures. And here I thought it was another eye issue that I have to deal with. Joel

The glass really fit perfectly in this kit, and the raised lines for the gaskets were just right to mask or hand paint and clean up. Joel

I cleaned up the raised edges with a sharpened point of a Q-tip. Tune in next week when the writer tells us about ironing bacon so it stays flat. *lightbulb* Oh, wait. Did you mean the sharpened end of the stick in the Q-Tip? Because, for a good two minutes there, I was picturing you sharpening the fuzzy cotton blob part, and my head utterly failed to wrap itself around that. SERIOUSLY. Beautifully-executed model, sir. Not a hair out of place.

CC, I can't believe I never caught that error, and I must have proof read it 3 or more times.
Of course you can't sharpen either end of a Qtip as there's a cotton bud on both ends. What I meant to say, but failed to (do to the possibility of the start of Dementia), is that I routinely sharpen the ends of a wooden tooth pick. This give me a very sharp point that will easily scrap away excess paint without damaging the clear plastic surface, which is something that a metal sewing needle will do nearly every time. It's also exceptionally adapt at smoothing masking tape down into tight spaces without that fear of plastic damage.
Interesting concept about ironing Bacon for a flat surface that makes a sandwich just that much better, as you don't get excess air in some places while other places has more of the filling per bite.
CC, I'm really glad that you liked my efforts on the 935 K2. I really feel that it's my best car effort to date, especially with respect to the entire paint/decal/gloss procedures. I've been experimenting with them per build after being influenced by one you tube builder after another.
What I've found that has made the most impact on my modeling since coming back to race & classic cars, is this site and the members who share techniques and advice so freely. Chris & JC surely have created a Treasure chest that exceeds 10 fold what I ever thought I could have learned here.

I tried Ironing the bacon , but the wife got pissed because she had just cleaned it from the Grilled Cheese I made the day before.. when will they realize these are things a Man has to do? Chris

Chris Chris, I hear ya Bro. But my wife's attitude is just like your wife's. Funny thing though, when we got married nearly 40 years ago, she was a teller at a bank and actually ironed all her money! And she calls me nuts. Joel

CC, I'm really glad that you liked my efforts on the 935 K2. Liked? Iβd been glued to the thread! And the (brief but confusing and hilarious) mental image of a man hunched over his bench trying to put a crisp chisel-edge on a fuzzy cotton-headed ear-mop was absurdist lagniappe. Like something from a Trevanian novel. Iβd watch you build model milk trucks. Keen to see what youβll do with that fenderless Lotus.

CC, I gotta admit that the image is really funny if nothing else. But this is what happens when you pass the 70 year mark, your thinking one thing but end up writing something else.
I started to Lotus 25 yesterday, so my 1st update plus a little history thrown in will be up by the weekend. That is if we don't get flooded out with these massive rains that just don't let up. We had that major heat wave which morphed into this.
