JC, Talk about double talk that makes no sense. Every team has a plan moving forward from 2019 once the regulations were finalized to be ready for 2021. No front running team is going to give up on the current season to move forward on 2021 development after just a few races. Maybe after the summer break if they're behind Mercedes, Red Bull, and even McLaren, I could see them start to ease off, but not totally abandon the rest of the season till it literally made no sense to continue to develop their current package. Heck, I'm convinced that this is going to be a short season race wise as countries start to force cancellations do to the world wide viral Pandemic. BTW, did you watch the Nascar race yesterday? once again the stands were nearly half full or half empty which depends on your point of view. They better start to look back to their roots as the new race fans aren't hard core Good Old Boys like they use to. Their either can't travel, in homes, or their time has come just like so many of the drivers that they idolized. Joel You are a very wise man Joel, and I agree with you whole heartedly that this talk is a bunch of Bullshit quite frankly - typical Ferrari games ...for my favorite team they certainly are not what they once were. It's way too early in the season to be making sweeping statements like this and quite frankly I'm tired of Ferrari's excuses anyway ... look at Mercedes and see how it's done properly boys ... in every respect. Excuses for poor performance when you have the highest budget in F1 is quite frankly getting old.
Furthermore F1 has to be careful with this head space of vocalizing this constant "give up on 2020 and look to 2021' because that's 13 months down the road and if they are not careful then this year could be a joke. If I were a new fan to the sport I would be thinking to myself "wow, this is like if the NHL announced that all 31 teams wouldn't really be trying out there on the ice this year because we have told them to think about next year instead, BUT HEY! we still want you to watch - and come to the games and spend your money!
Dangerously slippery slope for F1 if you ask me...
And 2021 better blow us away or crow is on the menu big time ... this is a recording.

Adrian, Oh My!!! Looks like Mercedes has made a lot of progress on the car. Not thrilled with that super busy scheme, but I love the 18 inch wheels & tires.
For 2020, I can sum up my season in 3 words: Go Red Bull!! My money is on Max Verstappen to win the driver's championship, but Mercedes to win the manufacture's championship.

Joel This is actually a computer generated image by an F1 fan of a possible livery for the 2021 car. I doubt it will look this way in 2021 but who knows about 2022 and beyond Joel!
I'm with you on this season though ... I would love to see Max give Lewis a few headaches ... I don't see Ferrari having the car .. and the RB16 sure looked sweet in testing .. but that's testing.
Leclerc is my man.. always has been, but I think he's a couple of years away from a championship ... but Charlie WILL win one!

Wouldn't it be nice to see 'Honda' on the cowling of an F1 championship car once again ...

It won't say Aston Martin on it next year. I'm surprised it still has it on it this year.

Adrian, Sure would be great to see Honda on the winning Red Bull car for sure. As for Aston Martin, their contract runs through this current season, so they really have to be on the Red Bull wing.
What I'm really getting concerned about is the state of F1 getting to the Asian and Middle Eastern races. Already Australia is becoming a major issue. All the European teams fly to the Middle East, then hang a right and then Australia. But some of those Middle Eastern countries already have bans on Italian flights, and anyone whose recently been in Italy. Lets just say that Ferrari, Alpha, & Haas are based in Italy. So their plans seem to change daily.
F1 has announced that if any team can't get to the race due to travel restrictions and bans, then the race won't be run as an official F1 Championship race. And no team is going to race for the fun of it.
