JC, Love the lowered look. Can't wait to see some paint on it. Joel

Starting some engine work. Had to make a low profile oil pan because of the lowered suspension and still had to create a notch for the tie-rod. I very delicately drilled the distributor to accept wiring.

JC, Outstanding detailing. You have the hands and nerves of a skilled surgeon for sure. Even the side draft weber intake stacks are kicked up a few notches.

Thanks Joel. - Stripped the chrome from the cam cover and painted it semi-gloss black
- Using a small flat file I removed the paint from the raised detail
- Added a vent tube from shaped wire

I'll add fuel lines to the carbs during final assembly but otherwise the engine is complete.

JC, Just another layer of detail. Just one question, is that Orange oil filter a Frame one? Joel

Thanks Gary & Rob. I guess the oil filter would be a Fram Joel. The JDM Legends shop truck, I've been using as a general reference had a blue one installed and just didn't care for that color choice.

The kit like the 1:1 has the battery installed at an angle. Didn't care for that so I reshaped the notch and made a simple battery tray.

Thanks Gary, would love to have a 1:1 of this truck. Started work on a cargo option - the recently re-issued AMT Go Kart. I want to build a more stripped down lightweight version of the cart so I won't be using the large padded set. I fabricated the seat back and extended the belly pan back under the seat area. I'll make a seat cushion and back pad later.

Fabricated steering linkage and drilled lightening holes in the side bolsters.
