JC, Wow!! Does that bring back memories. I raced Enduro Karts for 4 years and actually won a regional championship. BTW, when do you sleep? Joel

I watch very little TV Joel - frees up lots of modeling time. Grew up in a small town and an older kid had a kart very muck like this one. I lusted after that kart! Finally have one if only in scale. Front bumper:

JC, I see. I don't watch much TV till the baseball and racing seasons start. But half the time I'm streaming a game or race on my cell while working on a kit. My wife seems to always have other things for me to do as well.

Drilled out the marked holes on the outer sprocket. Used it as a template to layout the holes on the inner sprocket.

Fabricated the seat cushions and better pedals. Modified a wheel knock off for the fuel tank cap. Added brackets for the accelerator and brake linkage.

JC, Simply outstanding detailing starting with the twin Sprockets and chains. I love the twin Macs for power which in the old days made it a Open class kart. Which cat depended on the engine displacement.

That Kart chassis is looking good JC. Are you going to make a trailer for the truck to pull or put it in the bed of the truck to haul? A very KOOL project Bud!!

I wasn't sure what the engines were Joel but after some research you are correct they are McColloch chain saw engines - thanks for pointing that out.
Gary, I'll just haul the kart in the bed.
I have the kart painted and will be starting final assembly.

Anyone have any thoughts on who the manufacturer might be? My best guess is Rupp but not sure the model or year.

JC, I never ran a sprint kart, but from the ones I've seen they were all Rupp karts. Joel

JC, Outstanding finish for sure. Love the Gloss Red frame, as that's what I ran in Enduro karts. The Duel 101 Macs had chrome cover plates. The only thing is the color of the chains. The color was exactly like what a motorcycle chain looked like. The chain oilers would have made quick work of those for sure.

Thanks Joel. I stripped all the chrome including the engines. Between the varnish coat and the chrome plating so much detail is obscured. Not a fan of chrome in general. I'll get the chain color right on the next one.
