JC, You've gone twin 101 Macs on this build. Is there any other engine options in the kit? Also, back in my racing kart days, the rich guys all had chrome chasses. Joel That's the only engine option in the kit. Now that this kart is readily available again would be nice to see some aftermarket parts for it: wheels/tires, engine, maybe even some PE pedals. JC, On my Enduro Kart we didn't have pedals, it was just a fancy looking polished steel bar. the reason for that is in the basically laying down position when you pushed the gas or brake, your foot rolled over the bar. A pedal would have been really hard to deal with. For Sprint Karts like your build, a proper pedal or bar would work equally as well. Joel

My build somewhat replicates this pedal style: I'm thinking this style could be a PE candidate:

JC, This memory recollection goes back to the very early 1970's, so I'm not nearly as sharp now as I was back then. And that's to say that I was all that sharp to start with.
The top picture is close to what we had in our Enduro Karts that we raced in a basically laying down position. So pushing your foot forward would naturally roll over the top. The Sprint Karts where sit up not lay down, but back then they also used the top picture type pedal.
At some point I'm sure that the more professional karts for the serious sprint racers started to use the pedals in the bottom picture.
