Ron, When I 1st looked at the Cady sheet, it also looked Yellowed. Then I took a more careful look at the entire picture. Both the bottle caps and the cabinet doors (?) have a Yellowish hue to them. So comparing them to the decal sheet, I'd venture to say that up close and personal, the decals are indeed white. Joel Yes you're right. Must have been the lighting on that picture. They are white with slight aging as I've had them for quite a few years.

I chose Racing White, having seen all the Chaparrals race I think it is a much better choice.. Chris

I would think Tamiya Racing White would be a good option in the future. I painted this Cobra with Tamiya's Racing White to represent Ford's Wimbledon White.

I would use the Cady decals without the white roundels! just use the black outlines and numbers. I am pretty sure these numbers were painted on back in 656... they didnt use mylar or decals for numbers back then. I guess its possible though.. just saying

Both my 2c and 2f are off white, the roundels themselves are clear and the numbers were added, the corvette is white I believe, the roundels on it were white with the number already placed.....i think but seriously do as you wish, I read it in some of my Chaparral reference material I have. But if Chris has seen them up close and personal then who am i to disagree with that. Did it again, opened mouth inserted foot, just trying to help. This is one of the reasons I don't lend a lot of commentary to my builds. Yours is so clean and nice Ron don' t do a thing to change that, as long as YOUR happy with it is all that counts. ENJOY!!!

Thanks all for the suggestions!
The racing white looked a little too dark to me so I mixed some up with a little of the pure white and airbrushed a coat of that on it.
So now it is "off white" but to my eye not too dark. It's in the cooker drying so hopefully I can get to decaling this evening. I'm on a deadline and need to get this little beauty finished by Saturday night, Just might make it! Thanks again all for your interest, suggestions and ideas!

Thanks all! Calling it done. Warts and all.
Very challenging and educational build but fun just the same.
