Afternoon Fellows, Decided on keeping my Chaparral projects and will complete them and donate to the Chaparral Museum in Midland, TX along with the Chaparral Grand Sport. I am taking a Hiatus from my boat restoration after having been ripped off, lied to and Vandalized!
Just found some LONG sought after, accurate 1/24 48 MM Weber carbs and split offset manifold adapters for the Chaparral 2A, 2C and 2E. Produced by 3D Scale Parts, www.3dscaleparts.com, for $12.95 set of 2 carbs, you'll need two packs. You will need to put longer stacks on a except for the 2E. The Nassau only 2C also had 58 mm Webers. Intake manifolds will have to be slightly modified with the carb bases ALMOST bolting to the heads. I just read that these parts had the "Snowflake" casting mark indicating they were an Official GM High Performance part from the Winters Foundry.
When I finalize putting these Webers on my competed blocks (painted black per Jim Hall: Heat dissipation) I will post.
By the By: The Chaparral 2F had CLEAR downdraft tubes, like the Corvette Grand Sport II nee Chaparral 2B.
Thanx for listening, John

Glad to read that you've decided to keep your Chaparrals and finish them.
