This is a project that's on my to do list Chris. I was thinking of getting one of those scoop kits from Calvin. I'll be watching this build with interest for sure. It's looking good. Are you doing the Black and Red Copenhagen car? That's one of my favorite IMSA 962s. I like the David Hobbs Skoll Bandit car also...

Really Great looking Car!! Yes, the T-1 Conversion with the scoop of the Copenhagen 962C with the blacked out headlamps too, it is a sprint version .. I would like to do the T-1 Havoline/Bayside car on the top, talk about some additional ground effects on the rear!! Quite a Beautiful Car!! Indycals.net has the Skoal decals in their new line, with or without the green your choice, very nice line of decals.. Chris

Looking at the interior I cant understand why they molded in a passenger seat( right side in the pic )? The drivers seat is a nice Recaro , So I tried the new Dremel cutting wheel for plastic , a bit thick but it worked pretty good. The major problem is the brittle Hasegawa plastic, right when I was almost done cutting the seat out , the interior exploded into 5 pieces.. so after reinforcing it with some styrene I managed to put it back together, today I will start replacing the seat with sheet so I can add the appropriate electronics, etc that actually should be there... The danger of using power tools. It more tedious but I like to hand saw and drill. However I will use a Dremel occasionally to grind.

A quick fix on the interior and I replaced the passenger seat ? with sheet styrene and started making and adapting the electronics so at least the interior will be detailed.. compare with pic above.. Chris

If You havent used Archer Transfers I highly recommend them, the rivets on the passenger side are one size, the (kinda hard to see) others along the sides of the seat and else where are another. I got the "O Gauge Trial set for the variety of sizes and spacing. They are not easy to use at first , the resin rivet heads are on an extremely thin water slide decal carrier that can be hard to keep in order and apply but once you get the hang of it not so hard after all, they can make a huge difference in the overall detail of your project. I did also get the Weld line assortment set and have used them on engine parts and even on the Lotus 49 upper suspension arms. Archer sheets run about $8. + a sheet and are a valuable detail tool.. JC I order the direct from Archer, I prefer fresh stock and they have great customer service too..pick up some of the Weld lines too, for those who are not familiar with these products, they are resin on a very thin waterslide decal sheet carrier. As you can see above the carrier is so thin does not even show under paint.Great products that should be in every modelers box of tricks , www.archertransfers.com/ Chris

Well, I have looked high and low for some 65 Mustang Poppy Red paint here, none to be found. Sure I can order it online for $8. but refuse to pay $15. additional shipping....... so next best is a Orange base with a Bright Red top coat.. close enough for this build.. I am re-thinking the interior a bit but will have more progress next day or so.. Chris
