Winds up looking pretty good Chris. I just got a new poppy red t-shirt at Wal Mart a couple weeks ago. Does that count?

It's been little bits here and there all week, I had some foot surgery on Tuesday, but I have been working on the interior, I decided to cover the Pumps and Filters with a shroud instead of all the hoses and wiring , its actually more accurate for this car anyway. but I am making seat belts and fire suppression lines today or .. and starting on all the knobs and dials on the dash. I should have the Poppy Red paint this week so if it doesn't get too hot, was 117 yesterday, I will start the paint.. Chris

I told ya to be careful carrying that anvil!
117 there, 103 here. I think this time of year is one reason we haven't moved there. Winters are pretty nice there though, so we usually go visit in December for the Rage At The River offroad race.
That interior is looking pretty good Chris! I like how those rivets look. Not PERFECT, but pretty damned good/

Despite the outside temp the last couple of days right at 117 degrees, I continue to work on bits and pieces today I pretty much wrapped up the dash.. Just waiting for a cool off so I can paint the body now....Chris

Chris, I have this conversion kit so I'm following closely. Are you going to blend in the air scoop with filler?

No I dont see the need plus I am painting it separate from the body to get the paint all the way under it.. I am getting a A/C unit for my shop this week so I can use my airbrush and paint booth in reasonable temps in there, with outside temps at an average of 115 everyday, it would be October if I decided to wait!! I'm all new here and don't know a whole lot about these types of cars but what I see is gathering my interest in them. Nice work BTW.

This build really looks GREAT Chris. Your attention to detail really makes that interior pop. GREAT work. Looking forward to seeing that POPPY RED and Black paint scheme on the car. What brand of Poppy red paint did you get...if ya don't mind me asking?

Dimension Single Stage Poppy Red , Ford code 3. It came from Bullhead Automotive and Marine, they mixed it for me and also can put it into aerosol cans it one desires, for an additional cost of course.. I got a Quarter Pint which is un-thinned so I imagine it will go a long way when prepared for Airbrush application. I an considering a few other cars that would look great in Poppy Red too.. Chris

Chris, I have this conversion kit so I'm following closely. Are you going to blend in the air scoop with filler? John After careful consideration I decided to blend the scoop in with Tamiya white putty, I didnt like the idea of a seam all the way around., pics to follow as it is drying with a coat of primer on it..Chris
